Chef Justin Brunson, who planned, executed, and delivered the fine-casual eatery Honor Society is no longer associated with the company. There's no word yet on who is currently leading the culinary charge of the four month old spot located at 1900 16th Street. Since its opening in August, Honor Society, who is owned by partners Jonas Tempel, Rob Alvarado, and Ian Smith, garnered some accolades, including an impressive review from the Denver Post.
Back at Old Major, his flagship restaurant in LoHi, Brunson has made a power move by bringing in chef Amos Watts, chef de cuisine at Acorn. According to a press release, Watts will be running the Old Major kitchen and day-to-day operations alongside Brunson, who predicts a busy 2016 with new openings and events across the country. The first of these openings is Masterpiece Kitchen in the Lowry neighborhood.
