Back in May, Westword reported that chef Ryan Leinonen, previously chef de cuisine at Colt & Gray, found a spot in the Ballpark District of downtown to make his own statement with Trillium, a restaurant with heavy Scandinavian influence. Leinonen, who's also a veteran of The Kitchen in Boulder and Rootdown in Highlands, told Westword that Trillium translates to "rebirth," which he says is symbolic of the rebirth of his career. After six months and some delay, he's ready to raise the curtain and reveal his work when the restaurant will officially open on Tuesday.
