Beer Man Jonathan Shikes of Westword reports that Breckenridge Brewery has some new competitive edge after a sealed deal with Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey. The brewery now holds the exclusive privilege of sporting the distillerie's name on their whiskey barrel-aged beers. "?The deal is a boon for Breckenridge, One of Colorado's oldest and most successful breweries, but one that had lost some of its cachet in recent years as other breweries," wrote Shikes. Experimenting with new beers, the first Stranahan's beer will be called Stranahan's Well Built ESB. [Westword]
