After catching fire last March, The Denver Post reports that Boulder's OAK at Fourteenth will hopefully be back in action late next week. Between the hood system of the restaurant catching fire and making its way into the restaurant's attic, combined with excessive water damage from calming the flames, owners of OAK at Fourteenth say they had to gut the entire building. Eager to reopen and fresh off the GQ press as "the most inspired bartender in the country," Bryan Dayton, co-owner and mixologist, has remained rather optimistic about the whole ordeal. "It's given me time to step back and reflect on the restaurant life, to really home in on why I love it. It's a hard business, a hard life, but it's what I do. And I'm eager to get back to what I do best. For me to sit still, it's not in me," Dayton told The Denver Post.
