New Belgium's Expansion Sparks Twitter Lies

A North Carolina blogger and reporter for the Asheville Citizen-Times (@ashevegas) generated a lot of discussion today on Twitter when he tweeted rumors that the Ft. Collins-based New Belgium Brewery had inked a deal. New Belgium Brewing, the third largest craft brewer in the country, is in the process of expanding to the East Coast, with interest in Asheville, N.C. and Philadelphia. A brewery spokesman told The Denver Post that no such deal has been made and the brewery does not plan to make an announcement until late January or early February.
