Described by The Denver Post food editor Tucker Shaw as "the lamb whisperer," chef Jennifer Jasinski was featured in the Nation's Restaurant News this week for her talents at Rioja, which was listed in the publication's 2011 Fine Dining Hall Of Fame. Nation's Restaurant News comments that it's hard to run a fine-dining restaurant in such a casual city, but Jasinski and GM Beth Gruitch still find a way to make people splurge. Shaw, who loves splurging on the lamb served two ways at Rioja, describes Jasinski's style as complex and rounded with influences from a variety of regions, including the American West, Spain and Mexico. Unfortunately this article is only available to Nation's Restaurant News subscribers, but Eater wanted to pass on the word.
