India's Pearl Joins Pearl Street Death Toll

Old South Pearl Street has lost a third restaurant in less than a week's time. Pearl Street Grill, OTOTO and now India's Pearl have all gone down. Neighboring Pearl Street Grill, which closed Friday, India's Pearl was apparently taken out by financial woes. An employee told Westword that a crappy year just kept getting crappier. Pearl Street Grill will debut as a new concept in a new location (likely another spot on South Pearl) and the OTOTO spot will sit vacant until more Den Corner expansion plans are released.
