A Food Truck Bash, a Beer Brunch, and More

FOOD TRUCK PARTY
On Saturday, October 13, the Justice League of Street Food holds its season finale, a giant food truck bash. The event will take place at the Denver Design Centerfrom 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be food from Biker Jim's, Steuben's, Pinche Tacos, and Quiero Arepas, among others. Other attractions include brews from Avery beer, shot specials, and music by the Magic Cyclops.

BEER BRUNCH AT LOU'S FOOD BAR
Master cicerone Rich Higgins will join chef Mike Peschek of Lou's Food Bar for a post-Great American Beer Festival beer-driven brunch on Sunday, October 14 starting at 11:30 a.m. A three-course meal, including veal brats, waffles, chicken-fried pork belly and house-made pastries will be paired with Belgian beers. The brunch is priced at $35/person, not including tax and gratuity.

COMMUNITY CHEF NIGHT
The Kitchen [Upstairs] welcomes Theo Adley (formerly of the Pinyon) for Community Chef Night on Sunday, October 14 from 4:30 p.m. until closing time. For one night only, Theo will share a selection of his seasonal favorites with wine, beer and cocktail recommendations from The Kitchen [Upstairs]. Reservations are not required.

TASTE OF THE NATION
Sunday, October 14, Taste of the Nation, the largest culinary benefit supporting the effort to end childhood hunger in Colorado, celebrates its 25th anniversary. Highlights include tastings from restaurants like Linger, Luca D'Italia, and Old Major and cocktail pairings from Steuben's and Ace. The event takes place at Mile High Station and tickets can still be purchased on the Share Our Strength site.
