Starbucks is about to get closer to you and smaller in size as it unveils its first prefab, environmentally friendly, LEED-certified store in Northglenn, Colorado. The outpost, to open soon, serves as a drive-thru and walk-up window. This 500 square-foot structure is built in a factory and dropped off by a truck and is part of a pilot program developed to explore expansion into markets that might not be able to sustain traditional, larger versions of the store. One thing is certain about the new locations: there shall be no free internet. [EaterNational]
