Alexandra Parks, one of the main faces behind the bar at the Green Russell, Frank Bonanno's speakeasy in Larimer Square, is moving on. Parks is joining the bartending team led by Bryan Dayton at Oak at Fourteenth, a restaurant recognized for its superior cocktail program.
A Denver native, Parks got her cocktail-making start modestly at Vinyl. She worked at Lala's Wine Bar + Pizzeria in Capitol Hill and eventually joined Frank Bonanno and Adam Hodak to open the Green Russell nearly two years ago. Competitive, Parks has always pushed herself and got recognized for her mixology talent on more than one occasion, including by winning the mixology competition at Westword's Dish event in 2010. Parks is the face of the cocktail part of Bonanno's Luca D'Italia cookbook project launched earlier this year. Wednesday is her last night at the Green Russell.
