Festivals seem to be all the rage this fall but one that will catch your eye no matter what is the first Denver Bacon & Beer Festival. The swine-centric brew extravaganza is scheduled for Sunday, December 9 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the Mile High Station. The festival will be organized by Eat Boston, Forkly, and the popular booze blog - Denver Off the Wagon.
The same festival organized in Boston has become one of the city's most popular events, sort of a bacon twist on the Great American Beer Festival with 1450 tickets sold out in 5 minutes and a website that generated over 25,000 page views in the hour that tickets went on sale. In Denver, the Bacon & Beer Festival will feature the Mile High City's best bacon offerings and beer samples. The proceeds from this event, will be donated to a food-related organization. More details will be available soon, but mark your calendars.
On Thursday, November 15 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. the 14th Annual Beaujolais and Beyond Festival will be held on at the Infinity Park Event Center in Denver. Some of Denver's top restaurants, including Table Six, Root Down, Devil's Food, and Jonesy's will participate in this wine-centric feast. The event is the annual fundraiser for the Rocky Mountain French-American Chamber of Commerce and it celebrates the arrival of this year's Beaujolais Nouveau wine to the Rocky Mountain Region. For more details and to purchase tickets, visit the French American Chamber of Commerce website.
