Colorado's most prominent annual food bash and one of the nation's premier culinary events, the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen has opened ticket sales today.
This 31st edition of the festival will take place June 14-16, 2013, bringing a three-day weekend of more than 80 cooking demonstrations and wine seminars, panel discussions, tasting events and the famed Grand Tasting Pavilion. Among the highlights of this year's line-up are Mario Batali's Sicilian summer supper, oysters 10 ways with Jose Andres, do-it-yourself sausage with Chris Cosentino, and cooking demonstrations with the winner of Top Chef: Seattle (Season 10) in which Colorado still has chef Eliza Gavin of 221 South Oak Bistro in Telluride as well as a possibility of return for chef Tyler Wiard of Elway's in Denver.
Tickets for the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen are $1,150 before March 15, 2013 and $1,250 thereafter, and are available on the festival's website.
