Boulder's Oak at Fourteenth has become a dining staple on the Pearl Street Mall, wowing guests with a superior cocktail program led by Bryan Dayton and an attractive food menu created by chef Steven Redzikowski. On Friday, the Denver Post broke the news that Dayton and Redzikowski are planning their second restaurant. Acorn, a smaller version of Oak at Fourteenth, will open next summer in the Source in Denver's RiNo neighborhood.
The style of Acorn will follow that established at Oak at Fourteenth, featuring American contemporary cuisine prepared over a wood fire but bringing unique Denver twists to the dining room. Dayton promises an even more ambitious bar program than the one he established in Boulder. Acorn joins Comida Cantina as the second anchor restaurant in the Source.
