Cocktail Week may be over but the cocktail buzz is still going strong. Tonight, Industry Denver is organizing the Winter Showcase, an event that brings together six local bartenders and six Colorado distilleries. Each bartender, paired a local distillery, will create and serve two handcrafted cocktails. Today's event features the following collaborations: Dante Reesman & Mile High Spirits, Melissa Durant & Dancing Pines Distillery, Matty Durgin & Peach Street Distillers, Jason Patz & Spring 44, Ken Kodys & Spirit Hounds, Anthony Giovanni & Leopold Bros. Doors open at 8 p.m. with the showcase starting at 9 p.m. Tickets are $25 online and $30 at the door and include cocktails and signature appetizers by Ghost Plate & Tap.
On Wednesday, December 5 at 7 p.m., Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails (LUPEC) and the Colorado Bartenders Guild (COBG) are coming together to celebrate Repeal Dayat The Irish Snug. The evening will benefit Sox Place, a daytime drop-in center for street youth. Attendees are asked to bring something from Sox Place's needed items list, especially backpacks, jeans, sweat pants, belts, sleeping bags, blankets, warm shoes/boots and gloves. Gypsy Swing Revue will set the scene with their vintage gypsy jazz and help take revelers back to 1933. Vintage attire is encouraged.
