Aspen News: Element 47 Opens Today

Today, the Little Nell, a well-known Aspen hotel, unveils its new restaurant, Element 47, in the space that formerly housed Montagna Restaurant. Element 47, a name that references silver on the periodic table, was redesigned by 2012 James Beard Restaurant Design award-winner Bentel & Bentel. Highlights of the design include a glass wine wall incorporating the restaurant's award-winning cellar and natural elements such as stone, wood, and blackened steel.

Unlike at Montagna where the menu focused around the prix fixe format, at Element 47 guests can choose dishes à la carte. The food stays true to local and sustainable ingredients and includes dishes like wild and cultivated mushrooms with roasted, flan, tortellini, and herbs and local Anjou pear agnolotti with wagyu bresaola, celeriac, and pickled chanterelles. An award-winning wine list complements the food offerings and local beers and spirits are prominently featured.

Element 47 will be open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Brunch is served on Saturdays only and bar food is available daily until 11 p.m.
