charcoal5280.jpgIn the December issue of 5280 Magazine, restaurant critic Sharri Caudron takes on Charcoal, the Golden Triangle restaurant. The critic praises Charcoal and chef Patrick Landberg for allowing diners to "simply enjoy a good meal in a grown-up restaurant free of arrogance and affect." Caudron highlights starters like the flavor-forward lamb meatball and appetizers like the braised oxtail ragoût. While she is not impressed with the pan-roasted half chicken and grilled salmon, she recommends the pork chop with fingerling potatoes and sweet roasted apples. Three stars for food, three and a half for service, and two and a half for ambiance. [5280 Magazine]
