That's the case Matthew Yglesias of Slate makes atleast. "In many ways, the Chipotle burrito is very similar to the iPhone. Founder Steve Ells invented a way to maintain the basic speed and experience of the standard fast-food experience and make the quality of the food a little better." Maybe Denver's Steve Ells is the Steve Jobs of burritos? And perhaps there are similarities in the way each company approaches advertising as well? Chipotle's first national commercial will be shown this Sunday during the Grammy Awards. [Slate/NYT]
