Saxy's Café to Close, Denver's The Beehive to Reopen

After five years of operation, Saxy's Café in Boulder is closing and an old Denver restaurant concept is taking its place. The Daily Camera reports that the café has been struggling with neighborhood competition, particularly in food sales.

The Beehive, an old Denver restaurant that was located at 609 Corona St. back in the early 2000s, will move in after Saxy's Café closes on Feb. 29th. If The Beehive is anything like the original, an old Denver Post review indicates that the restaurant will serve global, seasonal cuisine in a hip atmosphere.
