A couple weeks ago pastry chef Yasmin Lozada-Hissom and chef John Broening, both of Olivéa and Duo, announced a partnership with Dorina Miller to reopen Spuntino. Though Lozada-Hissom had already made her mark at the Italian café with her amazing popsicles and gelatos, she and Broening saw an opportunity to revamp the café into a stronger restaurant with more Italian delicacies. They've been working diligently to retouch the space and update the menu, and they've also hired Nick Ames, formerly of Quince in San Francisco, as chef de cuisine. After a week of soft openings, Spuntino will make its grand opening debut next Monday, and it will open for full dinner service beginning March 27th.
