THEATRE DISTRICT— Chef Jensen Cummings at Row 14 is definitely known for featuring some unusual menu items, and according to EatDrinkDenver, his exotic choices pair well with local wines. Examples include yak sliders with viognier, and alligator ribs with riesling. [EDD]

UPTOWN— For the first time in its history, Vine Street Pub will brew its own beer. Westword reports that "the new brewhouse can crank out 5,000 barrels of beer a year (at capacity), about 50 percent more than its sister locations combined." [Westword]

CURTIS PARK— Plants & Animals Denver and Vegan Coloradical are hosting Fancy Plants, a vegan prom, at Mercury Cafe this Saturday. DJ's, vegan tapas and giveaways included. [DOTW]
PLATTE ST. — Attention Colt & Gray brunch fans: only two weekends remain until Colt & Gray's brunch is no longer. Sadly, Colt & Gray is discontinuing brunch service after Easter Sunday. Apparently brunch just didn't get enough love. [Eaterwire]
