Craft beer is super trendy indeed, especially in Colorado, as The New York Times notes. "But perhaps no place is this trend more evident than in Denver, where quirky state laws, a storied brewing culture and a patchwork of well-carved neighborhoods have created ideal conditions for start-up breweries." It's true, craft beer is practically part of our city's food pyramid and new breweries are springing up left and right. The New York Times acknowledges Wits End Brewing Company, Strange Brewing Company and Denver Beer Co. as part of the Denver craft brew evolution.
The numbers definitely do the talking, folks — our beer economy is a beast. The Colorado Brewer's Guild reports that Denver is home to 18 breweries, with 15 in the works. TRVE Brewing, located at 227 Broadway, is one of those budding breweries. Nick Nunns, founder of TRVE Brewing, told The Colorado Craft Beer Show this weekend that he's aiming for a mid-April opening. Cheers to Denver making some waves!
