Boulder Company Pushes For Craft Beer Reality TV Show

Paul Leone's video blog Beer America TV continues to power forward with hopes for reality TV stardom, and with help from Boulder's Warren Miller Entertainment, it could be possible. The reality show would follow craft breweries from each region of the country on their quests for gold at the Great American Beer Festival, including Longmont's Oskar Blues Brewery. Leone told the Daily Camera that he came up with the idea back in 2003, but the idea just didn't take off. "Nobody was interested in talking about (the series) ... I think programmers still thought beer was keg stands and funnels."

The Denver Post reports that Warren Miller started getting serious about pitching a craft beer-themed TV show back in 2010. "They even shot a trailer in the Fall of 2010 with Paul and Tim Beggy (of Road Rules fame) as potential hosts. But the debut of the Discovery Channel’s Brew Masters, now defunct, stymied plans until now."
