Crema Coffee House Will Open a Restaurant

New, 1 comment

Eater has heard from several tipsters that Crema Coffee House is opening a restaurant, and sure enough, a recent post by the Cole Neighborhood Association suggests that the coffee house has taken over the defunct Garden Spot Cafe space at 3163 Larimer. Westword reports that owners Jonathan Power and Noah Price have named the restaurant the Populist, a name referring the "highbrow-lowbrow, tongue-in-cheek concept" they have in mind. Power, who cooked at Root Down and Olivéa before manning the kitchen at Crema, will create a global menu for the 100-seat restaurant. He'll also offer a six to eight course chef's tasting menu. The Populist is aiming for a July opening.
