UPTOWN— Today is Vine Street Pub's fourth anniversary, and it's rather significant considering the brewpub has a new 3,500-square-foot brewing facility as of last week. In light of the brewpub's birthday on 4/20, Vine Street will tap Capital Saison, an anniversary brew, at 4:20 this afternoon. There's no shortage of beer, barbeque and music at this party. All proceeds benefit Denver's Judi's House. [Eaterwire]
16TH STREET— Red Robin's Burger Works, a gourmet burger chain, will open at 1600 California St. on Memorial Day weekend. [DBJ]
WAZEE— Better stop in for a Wazee Supper Club fix before next Monday, because the restaurant is closing two weeks of big renovations. The kitchen and bar will be expanded, and the whole dining room will be updated with new paint and tables. [5280]
CHERRY CREEK— Elway's Cherry Creek chef Tyler Wiard chatted with EatDrinkDenver about the perception of his steakhouse: "A lot of people think we’re a normal steakhouse, and we’re not. There’s nothing wrong with a normal steakhouse, but I want to be different. So I tell them, if you guys can continue to make the quote 'old stuff' great, then we can play." [EDD]
