Fuel Cafe Chef Bob Blair Will Open Pit Stop in Taxi

Bob Blair, chef and owner of Fuel Cafe in the Taxi community, tells Westword that he's opening a fast-casual restaurant called Pit Stop in Drive, a new business development. "Since Taxi has gotten so big — there will be over 400 employees working here by the time all four phases come to fruition — there's a need for more restaurants, and since Fuel is crazy busy with lines out the door, it made sense to create a second restaurant that's a more casual, affordable complement to Fuel." Blair has teamed up with Mark DeNittis of Il Mondo Vecchio to create a menu of sandwiches, soups and salads. Once Pit Stop is up and running, Blair will expand his lunch offerings at Fuel to include more entrées. And in other news, Fuel Cafe will start serving brunch beginning on May 5th.
