Pastry Chef Shuffles; Dragon Palace Opens in Aurora

THEATRE DISTRICT— When pastry chef Jessica Scott left Crave Dessert Bar & Lounge a couple weeks ago, there were limited details about the split. Now, Scott tells Eater that she decided to leave Crave because she had a different vision: "The more time I spent at Crave, the more I realized that my vision of what the business could grow to be, was completely different than the vision of my superiors." Until she finds a more permanent home, she'll be working with chef Hosea Rosenberg at BlackBelly Catering and with Bistro Boys Catering. [EaterWire]

LOHI— Here's a suggestion for what to order at uber-awesome Masterpiece Delicatessen, courtesy of Kathleen St. John of The A.V. Club: "Even the egg-salad-on-white sandwich, one of the most boring of deli staples, gets an upper-class upgrade. Like Cinderella the workaday charwoman transformed into a princess, Masterpiece’s egg salad is drenched in luxury—which is to say, in white truffle oil." [A.V. Club]

AURORA— Dragon Palace, a Mandarin restaurant, has opened in the former Al Bae Nae Korean Restaurant space at 2040 S Havana St. [Westword]
