Lovers of The 1UP Arcade/Bar, Say Hello to The 2UP

It seems like the arcade/bar gods have answered Denver's prayers — The 1UP team is opening another place where pinball, skee-ball and cheap beers unite. 1UP owner Jourdan Adler tells Westword that he'll open The 2UP in the Pete's Monkey Bar space on E. Colfax, which closed earlier this week. Adler says The 2UP will be slightly different than The 1UP on Blake Street, with a smaller pinball collection and strict 21 and over policy. The 1UP currently allows children under 15 to play games before 7 p.m., and anyone between the ages of 16-20 is just plain out of luck. "We want to cater to Capitol Hill and what's been there. I think it will be a great place for people to hit after the Fillmore, after the Ogden. It will be a great place before a show and after a show." Look for The 2UP's debut in early June.
