When chef Jeremy Kittelson was fired from Ambria during hellacious Denver Restaurant half month, there was doubt about the restaurant's ability to stay on track. Luckily, Westword critic Laura Shunk writes that chef Gabe Balenzuela, formerly of Oceanaire Seafood Room, is doing just fine. "With Balenzuela, Ambria's kitchen seems to be in very good hands — even if the front of the house still needs to get in gear." [Westword]
