The Universal, Now Open For Breakfast and Lunch

It didn't take long for the Coop de Ville to move out and make way for The Universal — a "universally inspired, locally executed" breakfast and lunch spot that opened earlier this week in Highlands. Coop de Ville owner Leigh Jones, who also owns Bar Car, Horseshoe Longue and Jonesy's with partner Kourtnie Harris and her husband Steven Sharp. The breakfast menu includes typical suspect dishes, as well as an off the wall head cheese and eggs dish served with grits. The lunch menu includes global creations ranging from bahn mi sandwiches to shrimp and grits— evidence that this is a great lunching destination for indecisive types. Hungry for some food porn?
