FT. COLLINS— New Belgium Brewing will open its first slopeside bar on the Slopeside Mall in Snowmass. According to a press release, "New Belgium Ranger Station will offer Colorado craft beers and seasonal varietals in a casual, après ski environment. The renovated Wildwood Snowmass hotel will also have a New Belgium-­themed establishment, with 10 of the Fort Collins brewer’s beers on tap." [EaterWire]

ASPEN— The Elk Camp Restaurant at Snowmass Ski Area, a new $13 million eatery opening at the beginning of the 2012-2013 ski season, won't offer the standard overpriced burgers and bowls of chili like most ski restaurants. The Aspen Times reports the LEED certified Italian restaurant will instead focus on “fresh, healthy authenticity.” [AT]
