AWARDS— 5280 has released a teaser for next month's "Top of the Town" issue, revealing selections for top steak and top brewery. Editors' choice for top steak goes to Elway's Cherry Creek and readers' choice has been awarded to The Kitchen Denver. Editors' choice for best new brewery gives props to Renegade Brewing Company and the readers' choice crowns Denver Beer Co. [5280]

SLOHI— Word on the street is that Hogshead Brewery at 4460 W. 29th Ave. is now open on weekends. From Denver Off The Wagon: "It looks like Hogshead is going to be there to provide rad session beers to fuel loud talking. On Saturday, there were two beers on. They were presented both in standard carbonation and pulled off of casks with a hand pump." [DOTW]

BOULDER— Kyle’s Brew Fest, a beer festival founded by Kyle Hollingsworth of String Cheese Incident, will take place on July 28th, 3-7 p.m. at 2880 Wilderness Place in Boulder. The festival will feature 30 breweries, 60 craft beers on tap and live music. [First Drafts]
