Even badass chefs admit to crying now and then. Dana Rodriguez, chef de cuisine of Bistro Vendôme (1420 Larimer St.), didn't land her job immediately, as The Denver Post points out in today's profile — she worked her way up from dishwasher to sous chef at Panzano under Jennifer Jasinski, eventually opening Rioja and Bistro Vendôme with Jasinski. "When I was sous chef at Panzano, I cry every day. Jen, she teach me every single station and I say 'no, you're pushing me too much.' It was hard with the Latino guys, really hard. Even if you want to cry, you do that at home." [DP]
