Save The Restaurants: El Diablo and Sketch Remain Closed

BROADWAY— Normally the El Diablo billboard advertises specials and guest chef dinners, but after it was shut down last week with neighboring restaurant Sketch Food & Wine, the billboard now calls for community support. By visiting, supporters can sign a petition that urges the city to let both businesses reopen. Currently, 150 employees are out of work. [EaterWire]

LINCOLN PARK— Roostercat Coffee House will open at 1045 Lincoln St. at the end of the month. [Westword]

SLOHI— Hogshead Brewery (4460 W. 29th Ave.) brewer Steve Kirby shared his brewing philosophy with First Drafts: “we make beer that promotes conversation, not clubs you into submission. More alcohol and more hops do not make a bad beer, but they do not necessarily make it better. It’s hard to hide behind 4 percent beer.” [FD]

E. COLFAX— Here's a deal for cheap beer lovers — The 2Up (717 E. Colfax) now offers Miller High Life and Colt 45 for $1/each every Monday night. [Facebook]

CHIPOTLEWIRE— According to The Denver Post, 98 percent of Chipotle's salaried managers got their start rolling burritos for the fast-casual empire. [DP]
