Here's a glimpse of Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew, a new brewery slated to open next month in Five Points. The maltstery and brewery comes from Brandon Proff, Bryan Leavelle and Andrew Strasburg — three avid homebrewers and friends that decided to take their passion projects to the next level.

"For us, brewing beer began as an excuse to gather with our friends and ruminate on life, philosophy, music, food, and of course, beer," they claim on their website. "Once we got started, we grew more curious about the brewing process, honing our craft and experimenting with different methods and techniques." As part of their process, Proff, Leavelle and Strasburg have invested in equipment to malt and roast their own grain — all of which will be sourced from Colorado. Eater contributor Sean Buchan reports that Our Mutual Friend will feature five taps on opening day (TBA), including OMF Proletariat "no frills drinking beer," Saison, Pale Ale, IPA and Porter.
