VAIL—Chef Kelly Liken is hosting a three-night, four-day culinary trip by horseback from July 28 - August 2. And she'll be showcasing the food served on the trip—calling it the Cowboy Cookout Menu— at Restaurant Kelly Liken from now until August 4. It's $86 per person for the four-course dinner, but items will also be available a la carte. [EaterWire]

CHERRY CREEK NORTH—The annual Cherry Creek North Food & Wine Festival returns to Denver on August 11 from 6 - 10 p.m. The festival takes place in Fillmore Plaza, costs $50 a head, and will feature tastes from a slew of operators, including Hillstone, Aria, and Hapa Sushi Grill. [The Denver Post]

FOOD TV— GSN (formerly known as the Game Show Network) is launching a new series called Beat the Chefs. It's not a chef version of Fight Club, rather it's a show in which "amateur home cooks pit their recipes and their cooking skills against professional chefs." Sigh. [Eater National]
