1) Lower Highland: Eat + Drink Denver, a food emporium import from Vail, opened earlier this week at 1541 Platte St., right near Denver Beer Co. and Proto's Pizzeria. They serve craft brews, wines by the glass, cheese and charcuterie plates, and small plates. In the market, find gourmet chocolate, olive oil, bread, ad more. 2) Golden: New coffee shop and used bookstore Bean Fosters opened in the former Read, Write, & Brew space in Golden last week. Cafe Society writes that they sell burritos and pastries, in addition to freshly roasted coffee. Status Certified Open; 720 Golden Ridge Rd., 303-279-5077.
3) Highlands Ranch Denver's fifth Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opened Wednesday in Highlands Ranch. The five stores have opened in quick succession over the past three years, and execs hope to keep up with the expansion. The chain sells burgers, hot dogs, hot dogs on top of burgers, and milkshakes and concretes. Status Certified Open; 900 Sgt. Jon Stiles Drive.
