Bramble & Hare, Black Cat chef/owner Eric Skokan's farmhouse kitchen and pub, opens in downtown Boulder today after a weekend of soft openings. The casual 45-seat eatery (including the small bar) is a dressed-down neighbor to swanky Black Cat, and like its sister restaurant, Bramble & Hare serves strictly seasonal dishes — all of them inspired by the produce coming from Black Cat Farm in Niwot. Bramble & Hare's opening team (all Black Cat vets) includes sous chef Josh Monopoli, GM/cocktail guru David Heller and bar manager/sommelier Dev Ranjan. Skokan and Monopoli will serve a three-course prix fixe for $29 that changes daily, as well as an a la carte pub menu with seasonal offerings. For lunch service, Bramble & Hare will also serve a two-course lunch special. Hours: 11 a.m.-2 a.m., Monday-Sunday. That's right — open until 2 a.m., seven nights a week.
