Global chef/restaurateur Richard Sandoval will open al Lado's doors to the public tonight, showcasing a brand new, unique concept within the restaurant group's portfolio. al Lado, which means "next door," is a neighbor to Zengo, which is one of Sandoval's most successful Colorado concepts. It's a smaller, more intimate lounge option for Denver's Riverfront Park community, and it features a tapas menu executived by chef Clint Wagness — appropriate for grazing or a multi-course meal. After a week of soft openings, several of Denver's restaurant fanatics have already posted their thoughts about the Latin wine and tapas bar, including Cafe Society editor Lori Midson, Gabby Gourmet (aka Pat Miller) and 303 Magazine contributor Brittany Werges. Judging by first impressions, al Lado is already off to a smooth start.
