EVENT WIRELowry Beer Garden will be doubling in size to throw their first Oktoberfest celebration September 28-30 by expanding the party into the parking lot of Hangar 2. SHUTTER — The gluten-free and not for profit restaurant, The Comfort Café (3945 North Tennyson Street) will shut their doors at the end of the month. They are holding on to their equipment in hopes of a not-too-distant re-opening in another location or perhaps a not for profit food truck. [Cafe Society]

GABF WIREWestword's food and restaurant blog, Cafe Society, has put together an extensive list of happenings around town leading up to the main event: Great American Beer Festival 2012. Tickets or not, there are plenty of ways to celebrate with a brew in hand. [Cafe Society]
