Kitchen Launches Monthly Series; Special Wine Dinner at Frasca

BOULDER— Dr. Simona Spinelli, the sales director of Ampeleia will be on hand to pour and discuss the estate wines at Frasca. The four-course menu is $50, that's $25 less than Frasca's nightly menu. LO-DO—Pizzeria Basta took over the ovens with their Italian inspired food at The Kitchen [Upstairs] last night. This event was a first in a new monthly series which will offer the food and cooking of chefs in the Denver and Boulder community. Executive chef of The Kitchen Community, Kyle Mendenhall caught up with Eater about the creation and future of Community Chef Night: "We wanted to create an event that would bring excitement to the Upstairs, something laid-back and personal that would support the community...We hope to do future dinners with Steve and Brian from Oak, Tyler from Duo, Daniel Asher from Root Down. I'd love to get Amu in here, something totally different from what we do."
