On September 24, West Flanders Brewing Company will open its doors to offer their Belgian inspired beers and gastropub food. The location at 1125 Pearl Street in Boulder was the long-time space of BJ's Brewery which has moved to the 29th St. Mall.
West Flanders is a collaboration between four longtime restaurantuers and brewmasters: Mark and Chris Heinritz who have owned The Sink in Boulder since 1992 are teaming with longtime restaurateur Barry Wolfman. They are bringing on award-winning brewmaster Brian Lutz, previously a brewer at Left Hand Brewing Company, Redfish and Oskar Blues.
They're offering a sneak peek of the space on Friday, September 21. Tickets are $20 each and include: an entree, appetizer, and two West Flanders beers or one specialty cocktail. To make a reservation email beer@wfbrews.com or call 303-447- 2739 between 1-4 p.m.
The soft opening's proceeds of $4,000 will be donated to Community Food Share, a local non-profit is dedicated to eliminating hunger in the Boulder community.
They are still working out the kinks but there will be plenty of beer.
