West Flanders Brewing Company Opens in Boulder Today

West Flanders Brewing Company opens to the public today in the old BJ's Pizza location on the Pearl Street Mall at 1125 Pearl St. The restaurant is run by Mark and Chris Heinritz who owned The Sink since 1992 and Redfish New Orleans Brewhouse, both iconic restaurants in Boulder. Barry Wolfman will be the Operating Partner/General Manager alongside well-known Brewmaster Brian Lutz, previously of Left Hand Brewing Company, Redfish and Oskar Blues and Executive Chef Jamie Lucas.

West Flanders will have 17 taps and between six and 10 of those beers will be made in-house by Lutz. Opening week they have six West Flander's beers: Angry Monk, Daisy Cutter, ESB, IPA, Pale Ale and a Dubbel. On their available guest taps they will host a mix of unique domestic and international beers. Alongside brewing their own beers you can expect to find a menu geared to match their brews, including items like mussels steamed in Belgian beer, house-made sausages braised in ale, ale cheddar soup and poutine. Also family friendly, they're offering a special kids menu featuring the likes of beef franks wrapped in fresh pretzel dough and their own house-made root beer.

West Flanders is open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. - 1 a.m., serving lunch, dinner, and late night snacks.
