The Denver Post reviewed Tia Maria and awarded the Mexican eatery two stars. The homey atmosphere and family-owned feel is what makes Tia Maria a special restaurant but the food is why diners return. With an authentic Mexican menu, Tia Maria offers everything from a variety of tacos to enchiladas, huevos rancheros, and the substantial and rich chamarro pork dish. William Porter praises the fiery green chili and the mole, which , he recommends, is best with shredded, not diced, chicken. [DP}
Solera's pear crostini charmed 5280 Magazine's food editor, Amanda Faison, enough to make it the Best Bites weekly pick. The appetizer is built on grilled Grateful Bread Company's ciabbata, topped with poached pear slices and finished with the rich French triple cream St. André. The crostini is gently melted in the oven, then garnished with with arugula and matchsticks of the pickled pear. [5280 Table Talk]
