A Look Inside Kachina, a Mega Southwestern Restaurant and Bar Opening Tomorrow

Here's a first look inside Kachina Southwestern Grill, a restaurant that might be well worth the flock to Westminster. Tomorrow, Sage Restaurant Group, which owns and operates the Corner Office and Second Home Kitchen + Bar, will unleash Kachina to the masses in the old O's Steak & Seafood space. The Kachina concept — reminiscent of "mystical spirit beings of Southwestern Pueblo cosmology that personify the belief that everything in the universe has an interwoven essence and life-force" — combines industrial, rustic, and modern styles (thanks to New York City's crème design) while adding a tinge of Southwest flare. Kachina's open dining room, featuring a view into executive chef Patrick Harnett's kitchen, provides guests a cozy place to nosh on both traditional Southwestern fare, as well as Harnett's twist on regional specialities. Cafe Society editor Lori Midson says the cleverly-named "Cactus in the Rye" or "You Mango Me Crazy" cocktails aren't too shabby either. For foodporn previews, check out Cafe Society and Thrillist.
