Boulder's Arcade Bar Opens; Hodson's Opens Downtown

CITY PARK —Denver-based Chipotle will host a Cultivate Festival this year in City Park on October 6. The event will feature tastings from new concepts and sips from local microbreweries, as well as celebrity chefs demonstrations from Michael Chiarello, Richard Blais, and Boulder chef Lachlan MacKinnon-Patterson of Frasca Food and Wine. Bonus: Hit-up four of the five "experience tents" and get a free burrito or bowl — locally sourced of course. [EaterWire]

BOTANIC GARDENSThe 2012 Chipotle Sustainable Food Film Series kicked-off this week and will run through September at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Small bites will be offered from Chipotle before the showings and guests will enjoy a discussion panel after each fim to discuss food sustainability. The event is listed as free but suggests a ten dollar donation. [DP]

BOULDER — Press Play, an arcade-themed bar opens its doors tonight in Boulder (1005 Pearl St). Two childhood friends paired up and grabbed the keys to the old 'Round Midnight spot merely two weeks ago. In attempts to keep the spot an affordable adult destination, the games are still only priced and a quarter and a daily happy hour will feature two dollar domestic drafts. [Colorado Daily]

DOWNTOWN — Southglenn restaurant, Hodson's Bar and Grill, quietly opened a second location this week at 18th and Champa in downtown Denver. With the new location comes an oyster bar, a wood-fire pizza oven and the addition of sushi to their contemporary American menu. [EaterWire]
