Early Bird, the quaint breakfast-and-lunch spot that opened last summer in Westminster, got reviewed this week by Westword. Gretchen Kurtz, the restaurant critic, praised eatery for its puffy and yellow omelets and for its poached eggs, served with a citrus aioli and braised short ribs that replace the Canadian bacon. While the pancakes did not make an impression, the French toast and johnnycakes seemed like good bets. [Westword]
