Starting tomorrow, January 23, Ian Kleinman of the Inventing Room is bringing round two of his popular Donut Pop-Up concept to Bittersweet restaurant located at 500 East Alameda Avenue. For four days between 6 and 11 a.m., Kleinman will cook up donut creations that include the Apple Pie, made with green apple, pie crumbs, candied pecans, and toasted cinnamon liquid nitrogen ice cream or the Oink, a maple pastry cream combined with bacon-nutella powder sugar, spicy house cured bacon, salted chocolate.
A full menu is available on the Inventing Room website.
Kleinman, who is included in the Denver FIVE class of 2013, has made a name for himself in the Denver dining scene for playfully combining his pastry skills with modern and molecular techniques that include using sous-vide cooking, liquid nitrogen, and a slew of ingredients that create foams, gels, and caviar-like textures. Last summer, Kleinman hosted the first Donut Pop-Up at Table 6 and that series was nothing short that a success.
