Welcome to Whale Week

Starting now and ending on Friday, Eater will be celebrating the people that love spending money on food and wine in Denver. It's a little something Eater calls Whale Week. What should you expect? Highlighting high-rollers (or "whales" as some industry people like to call them) and the places where they love to part with their cash.

At this point, you may be wondering: Why Whales? Why now? Well, for one thing, this is the time of the year when people get their year-end bonuses. Hopefully, Eater can provide some ideas on how and where to spend that dough. It's also a particularly punishing stretch of the winter, which is a time when everyone — whales and regular mammals — look for a little extra sizzle in their lives.

All throughout Whale Week, there will be guides to the finest food and drink in the Mile High City, maps, testimonials, dining diaries, Champagne, foie gras, truffles, kobe beef, and more. If you have a tale of dining excess that you'd like to share with the readers of Eater, send that to the tipline. Or just settle in with some snacks and have some fun.
