Kachina Southwestern Grill was reviewed by Westword's Gretchen Kurtz this week and the critic did not mince words. She found the Westminster restaurant overdone in its decor, which appears as an Epcot-like theme park chockfull of gimmicky and clumsy elements and in its food offerings, which compress many states, cultures and cuisines into one menu. Various dishes ranged in description from "the trifecta of small, expensive and disappointing" to disjointed flavors, awkward mouthful, and "bland piece of bird suitable for picky children." Does the critic see any hope for this restaurant? Yes, a thousand miles away. [Westword]
