Satchel's On 6th at 1710 E. 6th Ave recently closed for renovations, and reopened the the public with a sexier, more comfortable atmosphere over the weekend. New renovations include a liquor license and a brand new bar, updates aesthetics throughout the venue, and a new happy hour menu that focuses on seasonal ingredients. Most exciting about the Satchel's new offerings: a fresh specialty cocktail menu called the The Client List that names drinks after some of Satchel's regular customers.
The new custom-built bar and welded metal back bar, alongside deep red, channel-backed banquettes along both walls and all new cane topped bars stools and bentwood chairs, gives Satchel's an unprecedented French Quarter meets Old World-inspired vibe. The existing floors have been replaced with antiqued, parquet wood, and all of the building's light fixtures have been replaced with vintage chandeliers and pendants.
Jessica Poole, who will take on the role of bar manager, and Satchel's Jason Ladd cultivated the new cocktail list, which features several champagne cocktails, seasonal selections like the Pumpkin Manhattan, and fresh takes on old favorites like the MarTeani made with earl grey gin.
The Client List of cocktails includes a martini called the Dirty Stokes topped with blue cheese-stuffed olives.
